Patrick Cavanaugh has a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Boise State University, a Master of Science degree in economic geology from the University of Montana, is a registered Professional Geologist, and has 30 years of gold exploration experience in the western United States. Cavanaugh is co-founder, co-owner, and President of ECM, Inc. a private gold exploration company which owns the mining claims covering the South Pipeline and Cross Roads gold deposits. More than 10 million ounces of gold have been produced from these ECM-owned claims. In addition to his exploration duties Cavanaugh was responsible for minerals evaluation and management on the largest private land ownership in the western World. Cavanaugh and his wife have traveled to 22 foreign countries, hosted exchange students from Chile and Greenland, and have adopted two children from Russia. The Cavanaughs have four children and three grandchildren.
